Aims/Description: English as a Foreign Language Advanced 1 is a general English language and skills module at C1 level. The module aims to consolidate students' understanding of and ability to use English language, grammatical, lexical and phonological systems at advanced level. Students will develop competence in the four main skills with a particular focus on writing and speaking skills. At the same time, the module aims to increase students'Â knowledge of British culture and society, including how English language is used for particular purposes and in particular contexts. The course is delivered through two weekly classes of two hours each along with individual study time.
Restrictions on availability: Students should have an overall C1 level of English to take this module.
