10 Credits ACADEMIC YEAR



Aims/Description: This module will introduce the concepts of quality management to students.  The students will learn about the current UK regulations with quality management for engineering companies.  They will also learn about the purpose of quality management.  The students will be given real life examples of quality management in practice.  They will demonstrate their understanding of the subject by developing an example quality management document for a fictitious company.  This will involve identifying the key stakeholders in terms of supply, customers, regulators etc.  This analysis will be used to review future directions of the company.
