Aims/Description: This unit aims to develop an understanding of economics, designed to equip managers with the skills needed to understand business contexts and formulate appropriate strategy. The module explores the implications of supply, demand and industry structures for strategic decision making and focuses on some of the important models in the field and their application in practice. All lectures are supported by short break out sessions to illustrate different concepts and workshop-based seminars to work through particular examples and models.
